Cheers for the info guys. I did try charging and using both of the batteries and although the car did move (a lot faster than I thought :P) it was very intermittent. More so for the forward and back motion than the steering. The batteries maybe?
To be honest I'm half-tempted to flog it to someone who would appreciate it a lot more than I would and at the same time know what they're doing with it.
