They work very hard, and as an example, galaxy 5500 text message repeat issue was solved by 3 of the o2 gurus, me being one of them, and the samsung devs.
As far as I am aware, the bootloaders arent google owned, otherwise MAGLDR/cLK wouldnt have been written and the whole ROM scene for the HD2 wouldnt have existed.

I have no doubt that the O2 gurus and the Devs work hard, they are attempting to bring order to the phones of the plebs. People who lack the ability to understand that installing that spyware and virus will screw their phone over, and I'm sure that a lot of issues for phones have been solved in colaboration with the devs and the gurus, but ENTIRE bootloaders, ROMs, frameworks and hardware drivers have been coded for over at XDA Developers, Tytung is a genius, as are a lot of the other guys, Cotulla especially.

All I'm trying to say is, look outside of the support number for your carrier and you might just find a solution to an issue that you're having. If someone told the disrespectful gentleman above that the OS was the issue, then clearly that person doesnt know that ROMs which work already exist and while what he is saying could technically be true, ie ICS is the issue, what he actually means is, our implementation of ICS is the issue and we're trying to sort out our buggy coding. The OS itself is sound, has been for a long time.
