shiming the bump stop will get rid of what your worrying about. Honestly though if you have bad enough crash to hit something at the right angle to push one wheel to full travel, you will have been proper unlucky. More likly for tje nut to dig in and bust the tower or rip the cap off.
Lots of drivers remove the droop screws this gains 2-3mm, handy on bumpy tracks when jumping and landing on rough ground.

See my pics showing that on full droop, the extra length is not needed (although I do still have the droop screw in, just backed out all the way)
I may do what was mentioned and recess the droop screw though.
As I've already said though, it cant be that much of an issue because no one else has complained about it.
At the moment, I spose its a matter of principal, for the money, I just for some stupid reason expected something that would go together properly, not have random bits that dont fit properly, tolerance issues, super soft plastics in certain areas (as explained earlier though, not too important, but how hard would it be to use the same plastics?), missing hardware from the kit etc...
