On a 2wd buggy with rear motor, the car will have more traction with inboard rear toe-in, since the hole arm is angled further forward. This places more weight over the rear end of the car, which causes greater traction. Outboard rear toe-in will give you better stability in high-grip/very bumpy conditions, because of the longer wheelbase. Inboard toe-in will be better in smooth, low grip conditions.

This will apply generally to 4wd, but the traction difference will be less noticeable with inboard rear toe in.
