You need the shocks from the x2c, there's no point in wasting your money on anything else to be honest. These are made for the job (racing), and are extremely good at doing just that, they build well, don't leak and don't break. There's always a reason for things being cheap, they don't work as well, the £100 price tag you mentioned must have been for the big bore shocks, you don't need these to make the car really good.
