We run a vintage series at my local club ( Caldicot ) normally from october to april once a month. It is brilliant, i love being able to run with and against cars i only dreamed of having when i had my first rc's.
What you mentioned would be really good and i'm sure you'd have quite a bit of interest after all the states have the VONATS.
All the guys normally run brushless normally 10.5-8.5 brushless which makes for good enjoyable racing (if you can call my driving racing!)and a very good laugh as well.
