Default Track markings...

So I'm not sure if anyone has ever given this much thought....in terms of the type they like or prefer...and I've been looking around for possibilities:

Cheapest stuff around is:

1) PVC layflat hose, blue/yellow (like the stuff that Caldicot use)
2) Polyehtylene flexible corrugated pipe, blue/orange/yellow/black.

The PVC hose:

Pro's
Totally flexible, once filled with ballast will just form and lay on the track surface
Will just lay in place without pegging/fixing
Is UV stable so is durable outdoors
Can be easily moved/dragged around to change the track

Con's
The more expensive option of the 2
Can form random shapes once hit and curved into shapes
Can be 'sticky' in my experience...sucks your car onto it if you touch it!!!

The corrugated pipe:

Pro's
Cheaper option of the 2!
Bends into nice curved shapes, and could also be filled with ballast
Is not sticky!
Holds it's round profile when curved

Con's
Would need pegging down to hold it in place, making it slightly harder to layout and change the track quickly.
Is not UV stable so goes brittle over time.

That has been my thought so far...but before I spend any of the 'clubs' cash I thought I'd try getting some feedback from those who will race on it...

Any other thoughts, ideas or comments anyone?
