You may have crushed the layshaft spacer slightly, something I believe Durango are aware of happening and are looking into, this being the case it allows the inner clutch plate to come further down shaft flats and negate any amount of tightening, i'm aware of some people placing a washer between the bearing and inner clutch plate just to stand it off slightly.
