I paid £1.04 a litre today i was not a happy chappy. Especially as i do a 700 mile a week before i even think of going racing.
We are really being shafted with oil prices, the uk is the cheapest place in the world to refine fuel, but with the massive tax added it makes it just about the most expensive to buy it.
There is actually another 200+ years worth of oil in the north sea but companies like shell and bp pulled out as it is cheaper and easier to get it from russia/ azerbaijan. But shell are having a lot of problems right now with the russians and may be kicked out of russia as the government are trying to claim the oil is theirs.
I think if the MP`s sacrificed their second homes in london which we pay for and make people who can work do so then we could actually be paying less tax, live in a nicer country and be better off.
