Or, put them in 1960 Morris Minors where they can't do anyone any damage!!! It's motor racing, its dangerous, they are big boys. They have instantaneous communication with their pits and the team spotters all around the track. They have race control to tell them what is going on and the sort of skill and reactions we can only imagine.
It's wrapped them in enough cotton wool as it is, if we are going to try and legislate for every possible eventuality it will become impossible to get a complete race. Leave it alone and let the teams and drivers sort it out.
