Yes, it would be an exact copy of the original chasis, so the plastic sides would still be used with it. The only other option is to have a flat chasis made and to modify the front end somehow, I think this would be a difficult alternative but would end up cheaper.
I know I'd happily pay £70 for a replica chasis in carbon fiber, but maybe I'm crazy.
