ive got several hobbywing esc but never had this
the dead band is adjustable but if you reset then it should be default anyway
the only thing i can suggest is when you hold down the setup button and then release after you switch on(the motor should go beep beep etc)the first press of the setup button from then on finds the neutral point of your transmitter,then the full throttle then full brake position
maybe try it again as it might not have picked it up properly
