If you run a large speedo (eg Speed Passion), you may have difficulty fitting a large capacitor bank as well. I had this problem and had to use the capacitor from my old LRP in order to get everything in nice and tidy.
Not sure a low profile servo would have helped me much though. I think they are mainly used by the Team drivers when they want to push the battery further forward. I would say you would be fine with a standard size servo, unless you already have a low profile one you are planning to reuse.
