The car will be fine to race, the main reason the pro cars have saddle packs is weight balance/distribution. The only other thing I would check is the rear diff casing. You need the new version which has the centre CVA at a 90 deg angle (flat) if it enters on a 135 deg angle you might have issues with stripping the rear diff pinion.
