You only need to do the mod if you want to fit the body so it is up against the rear shock tower,you can fit it the same way as you would the std chassis on the bulk head but you will have a gap at the rear of the shell and the shock tower,the chassis fits as the std one does,
the mod is to the sides of the bulk head,if you fit it all you will see
