Fair point. A variety of optional parts were available at the time, so swapping the lower chassis between the cars will give something that's closer to a standard XLS.
I'll stick to the rest of what I said, and add that the shocks on the front of the XLS are too long to be the originals, as these used to mount on the inner 2 holes only (unless you wanted the front 'slammed'...)
