Are you talking about an 'abs' style plastic shell, or lexan? I dont think you can 'fix' lexan, other than with tape, even glass reinforced tape...
If its the abs, plastic shell then I'd say get yourself booked onto the tamiya club forum (
www.tamiyaclub.com), there are loads of modellers and restorers of vintage shells, they might be able to help...
