I suspect it's because the weight distribution is very far back and it would gain more steering. I've actually wanted a new bat holder but never seen one on UK ebay and could never justify buying from Tower which is the main place for spares these days.
If your serious about letting me have one James, it would be very much appreciated, cos the one in there has wood screws in the bottom (again came like that) and the ones on the top are stripped too. |

Well the one I bought cost me a fiver and is black (just the one item with the screws and plastic bar), and of course is brand new unpackaged. You have done a good job on that RC10, and I know it will go well. Anyway PM me if your still interested in it. I also have a brand new set of the metal poles for the front of the chassis packaged (black) and the front shock mount holder/brace (black) new and packed.
