The problem with using a scissor lift is that you will have to get in it, could you not approched your local club and ask if there is money in the kitty to provide a wheel chair rostrum, or find a track local to yourself that has the facilities, at Ardent they have a purpose built rostrum for wheel chair users, it seems a shame you should have to go to the extremes of buying a trailer to transport your own personal rostrum, depending on what you race I'm sure most tracks that have an elevated section around the track that could be modified slightly to position yourself with a view of the circuit.
