Here's some basic instructions on how to make Vista give up it's death grip on simple file modifications like file types, and file names. It also shows you how to find the hidden "Vitrtual Store" with some simple click steps. Make sure to start from the top and work your way down!

1. Click on the “Start” button located in the lower left corner.
2. Click on “Computer”
3. Hit the “Alt” key. You will now see a “new” set of options to choose.
4. Click on “Tools”
5. Scroll down and click on “Folder Options”
6. Click on the “View” tab.

You should now see this window. Make sure to “uncheck” the “Hide extensions for known file types”. By doing this you will now be allowed to change the file types when you are sent the Hotwire Beta software which has a “.txt” format.

You can now also click on the “Hidden files and folders” folder and select “Show hidden files and folders”. This will allow you to get to the hidden “Virtual Store” file without using the browser method.

Once you’re done click apply!

These are the step by step instructions to click and find the “hidden” file in the Virtual store of Vista. This is the file that must be deleted to allow the current Beta software to take effect.

1. Click on the “Start” located in the lower left corner.
2. Click on “Computer”
3. Click on “Local Disk: (C
4. Click on “Users”
5. Click on your user name “Randy” in this example.
6. Click on “AppData”
7. Click on “Local”
8. Click on “Virtual Store”
9. Click on “Program Files”
10. Click on “Tekin Hotwire”
11. This is where the elusive file is hidden. Simply delete this file “tekin.esc” prior to installing the new software, restart your computer, and install the latest software.
