hi colin, at the min its not a PS3, its actually a PS2...
its one of the after market ones, its actual range is about 10-15 meters, which for this project is fine for now (testing) but as soon as funds and programming allows i will be upgrading it to an Xbee system which has a range of a bout a mile-a mile and a half :-)
