Jimmy,

The FTX motors are 380 sized and certainly wouldnt fit your Tamiya without alot of work.

As a rule of thumb, 300 and 370 sized motors are the same dimensionally, and 380 and 400 motors are the same.

For your Tamiya I would recommend highly the 6V Speed 300 Graupner motor.

You can still find them in stock at Midland Helicopters (Google it) for about £7inc.

Although they are not rebuildable they do give out alot of power and were the motor of choice before the 380 shod Blaze took all the spoils.

If you want a motor with abit of tunability then you have the option of the 17T or 19T Reedy mod from CML or the equivelent from Team Scream.
