Reducing the oil wt should make the shock react faster.

It will make the back end of the car more springy feeling, so the shock should cope better with a rutted bumpy track but may reduce the shocks ability to absorb harsh landings from big jumps.

You may also find you get a slight increase in forwards drive as weight will transfer quicker to the rear end of the car, however you may lose a little stability in fast direction changes as the car will have more body body.
