I don't understand why they just don't rate the motor by it's RPM per volt, which is how they are doing it in the other classes of brushless, so you have say a 5.4KV motor, which is 5,400rpm per volt, so put 7.2v to it and it will rev free-load at 38,880rpm you can then have some sort of 'comparison' rather than the 'mystery' of it being an equivalent to a x turn motor.
