Yeah it has a similar effect to increasing the angle of the toplink but more so, as you are also altering the angle of the wishbone for the same ride height as well as the relative distance between the upper and lower pivot's.
It also changes driveshaft scrub/plunge as it changes the angle of the wishbone relative to the driveshaft which is probably why it changes how the car goes over bumps on power.
