I don't know of a more suitable off-road system than the LRP one, no one is making you buy the 'fast' brushless motors, LRP have a 1-star if you want smooth driveable wide power band (but not as much top speed)
the Sphere comp even has a 'low traction' setting, this is completely useless for a touring car, it was put in for off-road, low traction dirt.
its not like LRP have 2 seperate brushed speedo's, one for snoring car, the other for off-road.
