Just tried a Tamiya wheel from my 201, it appears the offset may well have been compensated for, measured by eye, not rule... And the one thing that you would need to do is open up the hole at the rear of the wheel slightly to allow for a slightly larger diameter than normal stub axle. Only a bit though, and wouldn't need to be straight through, so your wheels would be fine on other cars afterwards. Note that the cross pin on Tamiya's is also a bit thicker than other manufacturers.
