From what I have seen, many of the Schumacher Team drivers were using a fibreglass brace which had a similar profile to the face of the original plastic shock tower. This was sadwiched between the plastic tower and the gearbox mount. I personaly like to stay with the factory look so have stayed away from the Bosscat tower (even though it has far more position adjustability). The plastic tower is too flimsy on its own and you realy do need the strengthening plate if you want to shocks to opperate properly.
