I think there is a simple answer to the "best car" question ... get to the club you plan on racing at and see who runs what, look over the cars and most folks will let you have a go with theirs. From that pick the car based on the following (in this order)
1)Which felt the most natural for you to drive
2)Has the most 'quick' guys at the club running it (so you can get help and advice)
3)Seems the most reliable and user friendly after talking to people at your chosen track.
4)You like the look of.
5)You can get at a good price.
Just make sure that you try a Kyosho before going for anything else
