we at FORCC (faversham) have been racing on wooden floor for 20+ years yellow full spikes are still the favoured tyre but to be on ultimate pace its not a case of bolting them on as they dont get good until they are nearly worn out. yellow mini spikes are good staight out the packet however the car would need to be setup differntly to compeat against a prime set of full spikes it can be done and both tyres can be as fast as each other so its your up to you. and as for oil on the track you may aswell go home, we have a policy to shout oil or shock as soon as it happends the racing gets stoped and a ton of brake cleaner and elbow grease is used to mop it up this works well as it minimises the situation.
