If you turn up and clean up with the 4wd version it may be frowned on. Competition events maybe limited to 2wd though.

2wd chassis like those you mention but can't say I've seen the HPI 10 used at the club though. If you get the F109, F103/4 you should be OK for spares if your stuck on a nights racing.
