As regards to the above, if i re-assemble the g/box without this mystery shim/spacer & the diff does have lateral play within the g/box housing, would you have an idea as to where best to position it ie, between the outdrive & the ball race or between the ball race & the g/box housing ?
Ps, odd how there is zero reference to the green spacer in the 1st pic within the manual
