I think the cheapest competition 4wd buggy's the Durango 410R for £175.
Then you could get an Etronix Pulse radio (assuming you use sticks?) for ~£80.
Hobbywing Xerun 120amp brushless combo ~£110 from HK (or £150 from the uk) plus an Intellect lipo or similar, also from HK ~£45.
A 240/12V charger like the Core Uac50 ~£50 and a lipo charging sack ~£5

Plus a set of tyres and foams (as they don't come with the car) ~£20
