As for the Losi chassis, mine from manufacture was tweaked, as the more pressing/folding you put into the item, the greater the chance of inducing tweaks from manufacture.
I don't ever remember seeing anywhere that the C4.1 was bullet proof, maybe CML could have devised a brace to the front of the chassis, but you all bought it knowing it didn't have one.....
