Alloy is the new in thing to have as a chassis, back in the day the cougars and Mardave's used alloy, then we moved on to glass fibre, then carbon fibre. Now back to alloy with the Vega's, Durango's, Losi 22's and even the schumacher team drivers testing alloy chassis on there cougar SV's.
I agree with you Alec that the car is untested in normal people's hands. Last year a few of the top drivers did very well with the car, but these drivers would do equally well with any of the current cars be it an DEX210, TLR 22, X2c or Cougar.
Until the club/regional level drivers have used the car for a few months, then we will not know if it's a worth while investment. One thing that you don't want is to have to bend the chassis back with your bionic knee after a run/heavy impact!!
