When I used to race TC indoors they had plastic box section, not that big, probably the height of the bonnet on a TC. One of the 4 sides on it had velco down it, the aggressive hook part not the soft loop bit. So it sort of held itself in place. Don't race there any more so no idea who to ask what it was.
Maybe look into plastic trunking for putting electric cables in ? Can't think what else this would have been. Was fine for racing though.
