It's tight: I have a 2 cell stick pack (rounded edges) hard case LiPo (Yeah Racing 3200mAh 20C), and it barely fits in there. The length is a problem because the wires become stuck between the battery and the chassis. There are also ribs in the battery compartment, so if you don't have a stick pack LiPo there are two options: get one or mod the tub.
All in all a really tough car, so the issues with fitting the battery (in stock form anyway) don't spoil the fun you'll have with this car
