In a B4, I loosened the fan, moved it slightly inwards, and when running the original shell, it would fit fine. Although I did put two small holes above the fan to let air in.
For some reason I moved the fan off the top of the speedo and mounted it beside the speedo, it worked fine... in a 2wd I ran a few times without a fan, no bother.
In a XXXCR... buy a LRP/Nosram brushless.
