The new slipper is an improvement for ease of adjustment. It can be adjusted while in the car, and the larger spring makes the adjustment less sensitive.

However, there is no difference in how the two slippers function. Both assemblies use the same spur gear and slipper pads, which are compressed between two hard anodized aluminum plates. If both slippers are set correctly, they will perform the same.
