Most competitive racers would buy at least one set of tyres for a championship meeting at other series or regionals etc so it is only a case of buying a different type... they will be discounted as mentioned in a post above and everyone entering the championship is in the same situation.
failed argument and a myth that racers have an endless supply of brand new useable tyres in their pit box already or one set of life lasting yellow minipin tyres IMO
