Seems as if I remember us all cussing and cursing the 3-piece wheels, fighting to keep the tyres mounted true, and all but celebrating world-wide when 1-piece wheels came out.
Reminds me of a similar complaint back in the day, and an older chap responding,
"If you can afford tyres, and say you're too cheap to buy wheels, maybe you need a less expensive hobby - go check with your grandmother, I'm sure she has some knitting you'd enjoy."
