Still got noise with drive shafts removed, I replaced plastic mount and the bearing with used spares. Noise is dramatically reduced but is a little louder than when new. I'm guessing now it is the shoddy kit bearings and they have worn the plastic. My first race had an intermittent seizing hub bearing that was a pain to find guess its the same thing.
Bearing seems to spin ok on its own, but the other failed one did for a while too. Durango support werent interested then, and probably not now.
