I found changing the amount of weight around the lipos made a lot of difference to on-off power steering with the B44. I would try my setup that is posted further up the thread, and run a lot of weight in the rear, this should help with increased off-power turn in, but better traction out of the corners, I guess this is where your going wrong maybe?
I would definately not run a front roll bar. I know minipins dont work quite as well on a full polish track, and running brand new tyres is a no-go.
