I also had this problem with a couple of diffs I had from a borrowed Cougar. This either means the circlips in these particular diffs did not have original parts, or the clips people on here are referring to are from something that is not a Cougar.
My Durango kit circlip felt quite weak by the time I'd rebuilt it numerous times to rid the 'lump' a bent clip gives you, so I'm also keen to learn which clip people are using?
