I remember the same sort of badmouthing being done at Touring Cars, when they first came out - being as 1/12th scale was all but gentlemanly in comparison. Simples = tell them to
"clean it up or don't come back, it's not crash-em derby."
But, frankly, the "cost of the hall" excuse is rather weak, as it costs no more to add a heat of trucks than it costs to add a heat of buggies (unless the point is to become known as a "buggy-only" club). I thought the point of club racing was
supposed to be to make it open to all, 3 cars make a class, and not to chase people off with an elitist attitude because they don't own buggies.
