The madrat is rear motored and the monkey is mid motored. General consensus is that mid motor is quicker on high grip surfaces such as astro turf or carpet and grass. Rear motor are better on low grip surfaces.

Dave carries all the spares for ansmann cars

There are pro versions of the above also.

There is a massive selection of 2wd buggies at the moment and everyone will tell you the car they are driving currently is the one you should buy. But for your budget I think the ansmann is the only viable option to buy new.
