have you measured the thrust washers and put the smaller one in first then the caged thrust ball then the larger thrust washer. I helped a friend build his and ran on carpet last night after we broke it in and all is tight and smooth as butter. And on another note the ball cups idk what happened but he hit a few things that were not gonna move pretty good and no issues with his cups.
