If the front wheels are straight on the gauges but the car doesn't run straight at the track then there's an issue elsewhere on the car. Maybe something bent (like a rear hingepin), tweak, uneven corner weights, friction in the steering system, or excess play in the servo and steering.

But if the car was "on rails" I'd have just left it alone!
