tyre/setup wise stick with your grippy astro setup and see how things work for you, surface seems to suit different peoples cars with different setups to same car being used by a different person depending how much grip/slip you like, i ran worn bullseyes on a losi scte (the green and yellow one in video) and drifted nicely when wanted, but someone running new kourse kings on a hong nor 4wd had lots of oversteer,

best bet bring what you normally use tyre wise plus another set too try, ie minispikes and minipins, cord matting on straights is very grippy but corners are hard surface as its reversed carpet.

gearing wise it is a twisty track but quite open with a decent lenght straight (20m easy) so midrange ratio on pinions should be fine.

basically its a brilliant track to drive really good layout tricky enough to keep the pros happy while nothing to scare of the begginers out there
