just another opinion i have recently had a look at a friends brushless set up he has had two speedos and two different motors and still had issues in the end with all combinations exhausted we tried a third motor and both speedos worked fine
again .motors seem more prone to failure than speedos in my opinion .does the team wave speedo work in sensorless mode ? if so try without sensor lead fitted IF it works but lacks power then motor looks more like the culprit .
I am not guareenting success but its worth a shot before you bin the speedo especially if it doesnt have the familiar burnt smell
